Your Life

January 4, 2010

My cousin recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy.  He’s a healthy and happy little guy, however he has a club foot.  Easily correctable but it does take dedication to doctors appointments and medical protocols to correct the foot.  Really not an issue in the big scheme of life, but as any new mother would she worried.

Would he learn to crawl and walk on time? I laughed to myself and told her, “Yes!”  I told her and thought how absolutely lucky he was because unlike anyone over the age of 2 he doesn’t have anyone telling him he can’t or he’s not supposed to nor is he bombarded with images to destroy his self esteem and prevent his crawling and walking abilities.

On a daily basis we have a lot of images helping to destroy our self esteem, or make us feel less then perfect or destroying our dreams and hopes.  TV, ads, magazine covers, negative people, everywhere we turn a subliminal message is sent telling us something is wrong with the way we are or someone is telling us outright.  And we are given images of perfection that is airbrushed or photo shopped, thus the model used to exemplify perfection can’t live up to the image that is projected.

If we could be like that beautiful baby boy, not knowing preconceptions, not understanding limits, not having someone telling us we can’t and not feeling negativity.  What what you do?  Would losing weight be easier?  Would our lives be more fulfilling?  Would we dare to realize our true dreams?  What kind of life would we create for ourselves if you were never told something was amiss?

“Life isn’t about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself”

Losing weight via the hCG diet plan or some other weight loss means is only a small answer to a bigger question.  Once you lose weight, what next?  What do you really want to accomplish?  What is your true goal?  What is holding your back?

Something to ponder for 2010.

I must say I’ve never thought about much after I lost weight, only buying clothes and being sexier. Life is about more then that. You have given me something to think about in 20 10. I like that, Life is not about finding yourself but about creating yourself! I wonder how many people are trying to find what they have not lost!
