How do you gorge on the hCG diet?  FAT is the answer.  Back when I got serious about losing weight and staying on a low carb life style (thanks to the birth of my son low carb was out the window!, but that’s another story) we did a little thing call the FAT FAST.  The FAT FAST is perfect for the hCG diet gorge days or load days as they are often called.  And in reality that is what Dr. Simeons really means when he says ‘eat to capacity.’

Make yourself a tuna salad or chicken salad or salmon salad and load it up with mayonnaise.  Lots of FAT in mayonnaise for the hCG gorge you have to do.

Fat Fast Parfait perfect loading day treat!

Treat yourself to a yummy cheesecake.  Cheesecake is loaded with FAT.

Bacon, hold the nitrites please, is another high fat food.

Egg yolk, they are little fat balls!

Macadamia nuts, talk about fat balls.  I think they have about 14 grams of fat per 1/2 ounce.

Black olives is another little fatty food.

Switch to and olive oil dressing for your salads.

The best fats to have for your loading days would be monosaturated fats, Omega fats 3, 6 and 9 like found in Salmon.

There is a diet called the Ketogenic Diet that would be great for the hCG diet gorge days.  This is a diet where you would have 96% fat 4% protein and 2% carbs.  For 2 days following this for your load days would ease you into the hCG diet protocol and help to avoid those killer hcg diet headaches and help to fight cravings and hunger on day 3 when you are eating only hCG diet food.

You will gain weight on the hCG load days, but don’t worry, what you gain and then some will quickly come off in a few days.

I just have a question on this diet do you do 40 days on the diet or you get 40 injections I dont get it?

You inject while you are on the diet. On the gorge days, 2, you inject, then on the 3rd day you start the diet and you still inject. The diet and the injections go hand in hand. You do them together.

I use hair grease on my scalp and hair moisturizer on on hair. Can I continue to do this on this diet? I need to take care of my hair cause its falling out daily. I need a solution. I might be getting my tooth pulled. What should I do or not do? I am excited to start but afraid that I did something worry and gain; better yet fail again.

My best advice on the hair issue is this. 1) Get your thyroid free T-3 checked a full thyroid panel. Most doctors won’t do a free T-3 unless you ask, 2) Get your Adrenal glands checked as well as they could be stressed and 3) Get your Iron levels checked as well. Anemia is a symptom of hair lose. Are you under emotional stress? Is hair loss a hereditary issue in your family?

I waited 6 years to find the solution to make my hair STOP falling out (I am anemic and take iron pills, and my thyroid is normal but my T-3 is a little low). I take 3 5000 micrograms of Biotin in the AM and 3 5000 micrograms in the PM along with my iron pill (the iron pill alone did nothing to stop my hair from falling out). That is 3 milligrams total and in 3 days my hair STOPPED falling out! My hair was falling out in massive amounts and I had a lot of hair prior to the fall out. I have to style it with a part on the left to give the right more volume. You can pick up Biotin from Wal-Mart for about $7 a bottle, make sure it’s 5000 mcg (micrograms). You can not take 1 or 2 pills as it will do nothing. That was my mistake for 6 years!!!

When I went on the hCG diet and stopped using grease, oil and products in my hair it actually looks healthier now then it did before. Also the day 1 dryness gives me needed hair volume. Day 2 it is perfection but day 4 it looks as if I used my products and day 5 I wash it. My hair dresser said I should wash every 4 or 5 days anyway so it does work out better due to my hair lose.

I also started using Jasons products but in the winter I use Head & Shoulders for the winter dryness. Really it is not recommended to use oils due to the absorption via the skin. I do use a light moisturize on my face daily and still lost weight.

I would say try the Biotin and test your hair without products if you don’t feel comfortable then use a little as you do need to feel good about yourself and have confidence in how you look. It did take a few weeks for me to get use to not using products in my hair and since June of 2007 I’ve never regretted stopping. Wish I knew where all that extra money I’m saving is going! I also switched to Bare Minerals make up and I LOVE that as well vs. oil or cream foundations.

I would wait on starting the hCG diet protocol until your tooth is pulled and you are better. With pain meds not feeling well and such, you may not want to eat anyway, but I personally would want to be at my best when starting vs. under the weather. Better focuses.

I’m not understanding why fat? Is it to get into fat burning faster? Why not eat my favorite sugary foods? I won’t have them for awhile won’t that help me make it on the hcg diet plan?

The carbs/sweets will give you a carb withdrawal headache. Yes during the gorge days if you focus on fats it will help get into ketosis faster thus fat burning faster, the carb withdrawal headache will be little to none and it will help kill your cravings faster. I’m not saying don’t have your favorite sweet or carby food, just focus more on fatty food during the 2 day gorge and have more of the fatty food.

And make it good fats! Did you see the hCG diet recipe section? Hurricane Mayo, Salmon which is rich in Omega 3’s, real butter, ranch dressing, cream cheese, heavy cream, sardines, avocado and a bunch of other high fat foods.
