hCG Diet Phase 3 Food List

Everyone seems to have questions about what to do on Phase 3 of the hCG diet when it comes to food and calories. All Doctor Simeons says is no sugar or starches, but that does leave room for one to wonder and still doubt what to eat, how much to eat, and what are the best foods to eat on Phase 3.

This is a list Phase 3 foods that hCG Diet Journey believes are healthy and good for long-term maintenance. This is NOT an official list (as there isn’t any) but a combination of what the hCG Diet Journey team has always suggested to people, Atkins Low Carb Maintenance & Mediterranean Style eating.

This Phase 3 food list along with a good book on food counts, values, and calories, like Netzer’s is an excellent resource. And yes, Miracle Noodles are, as always, on any phase!

There are 7 keys to Phase 3 foods and long term success with your weight loss.

1. Avoiding man made pre packaged foods
2. Avoiding sugars, processed foods, and refined white flour
3. Portion control (especially at restaurants)
4. Eating bad foods in moderation
5. Exercise
6. Knowing what foods work best for your health and weight
7. Your desire for long-term success & willingness to eat better

After Phase 3 Food List Long Term Maintenance and Beyond

For Long Term maintenance after Phase 3 you would include the all the above and you can add the following to your menu. There isn’t any calorie restrictions for maintenance or any particular ratios.

A general rule of thumb is 40/30/30 40% of protein, 30% of carbs and 30% of fats, however you may have to adjust according to what works for you. It takes experimentation, listening to your body, and watching your mood as to your reactions.

Another good rule is limiting dairy and really watching your how your digestive system reacts.

Add foods back slow to better judge if they are working for you or not.

The idea here is to develop your personal list of foods that make you feel great and maintain your weight.

@Andrea,

Don't know what that is.  Read label, carbs are sugar and starch and fiber.  Fiber you can have, sugar and starch NO.

I've lost 15 lbs after 25 days and want to lose another 10 lbs. What should I do? Stop and restart the drops after Phase 3 or just continue the drops for another couple of weeks? I'm finding all of this very confusing all of a sudden. I think I need "HCG for Dummies!" I don't want to lose any ground. Please advise! Thanks.
@Lynne,

What drops are you using?  The loss sounds low however people with little abnormal fat tend to lose slowly.  You have to finish your round, if done move to Phase 3 for 3 weeks, then do another round at the end of 6 weeks.  That is how the diet is done.  The 2nd round could be a short round.  See hCG diet break.

HI there> I am wondering, I am in day 4 of phase 3 and finding it super hard to eat 1500 calories. To be honest, I am not really that hungry. So I am eating and forcing myself to eat more and feeling uncomfortable and bloated. My weight has been going up and down, within the 2pd limit. Do I listen to my uncomfortable body, or force feed myself to reach the 1500. Thanks for any advice you might have. sue
@sue holloway,

If not hungry don't eat.  Remember it is suggested not a mandate.

I had a first week on phase 3 and it was like a roller coaster for me, up and down. I had steak days 3 times already and I have a terrible sugar cravings after each steak day, despite on weight drop about 1 pound after each steak day. Today I even ate a chocolate !!!. Should I try another steak day tomorrow and try to do clean second week of phase 3 or go back to phase 2 and finish my round, since I had only a short round (23 days) and it was only 1 week after my phase 2 + 72 hours without sublingual(prescription) drops? Thanks for any suggestions. Julia
@Julia,

Cravings, you need a Candida Cleanse that will help a lot as it sounds as if you have Yeast overgrowth and need to control it.  Read up on Yeast and you may need to switch to a Yeast diet.  Kevin Trudeau talks about doing this prior to the hCG diet along with colonics.

Yes do another steak day and do the suggestions for Yeast Cleanses.  Also are you following the suggested foods above?  Are you having any milk or dairy or sugar or starches?

Are eggs allowed on the Phase 3 part of the diet? By the way, this is the BEST site on the internet and I've had great success with your drops! I won't recommend anything else! Keep up the great work!
@Lori,

Thank you so much!  We try to give you as much info as possible.  We will be posting more articles soon!  Google +1 us and Like Us on FB.  It helps ;-)

Yes you can have eggs now.  Egg whites are best but the whole egg is allowed.  Have at it!
