hCG Diet Stall Breakers

Stalling on the hCG diet can be frustrating. While Dr. Simeons defines an hCG diet plateau as 4 days of no weight loss or an inch loss, for the hCG dieter who is averaging 1/2 – 3 pounds a day it can test your will and determination to continue the hCG diet.

Well, if you are here, you have chosen to be determined and find a solution to your stall and continue on your hCG diet plan. YOU ROCK!

Dr. Simeons's manuscript only recommends one way to break an hCG diet plateau. BUT hCG dieters have found other ways to break a stall to add to Dr. Simeons diet plan.

Apple Day

Apple day consists of eating nothing but apples for one day. You eat 6 large apples and drink water all day. That’s it. No other fruit, no vegetables, or protein.

Steak Day

Drink plenty of water. In the evening, eat a huge steak with only an apple or a raw tomato.

Herbal Teas

Dr. Simeons suggests a diuretic. That may be a bit drastic, and if you are not under a doctor’s supervision, may be hard to get. Some herbal teas act as natural diuretics and will produce the same desired effect, the release of water. You can get a list of the hCG diet teas and their benefits that Kevin Trudeau recommends by click here: hCG Diet Tea

• Cornsilk Tea
• Green Tea
• Dandelion Tea
• Fennel Tea
• Parsley Tea

You can add more tea to your hCG diet, or do a fast with tea. Parsley Tea in particular is a very powerful natural diuretic. It contains vitamins A and C, and has more beta-carotene than a large carrot. A cup of minced parsley has more vitamin C than eating 2 oranges. A cup of minced parsley has more calcium than a cup of milk and 20 times as much iron as liver. Parsley is also a natural breath freshener, thanks to chlorophyll contained in parsley.

Diuretic Foods & Seasonings

These foods listed are not only natural diuretics, but are hCG diet friendly foods. You may want to change your hCG diet menu after a stall by incorporating these foods.

• Apple Cider Vinegar – great for a salad dressing
• Asparagus – improves waste removal
• Cabbage breaks up fatty deposits, especially around abs
• Lettuce – aids in metabolism and flushes toxins
• Tomatoes – aids in metabolism, release water and flushes waste
• Garlic – aids in breakage of fat
• Horseradish – aids in metabolism, breakage of fat
• Caffeine – aids in waste removal and suppresses appetite

hCG Diet Stall Tips

• Weigh your food raw/uncooked. 100 grams of meat should be weighed raw, not cooked.
• Refocus your diet, re-read the manuscript, and make sure you are having foods in the right amounts.
• Do not eat more than 1 kind of fruit a day.
• Do not eat more than 1 kind of vegetable in a day.
• Discontinue the breadsticks or Melba toast.
• Decrease or discontinue use of artificial sweeteners (AS).
• Increase Water intake. Water is another natural diuretic that is often neglected. Drink 2 liters or more a day.
• Decrease excess salt. Diet soda is a double culprit with AS and sodium. Try making your own hCG diet soda to control sodium and sweetener.
• Exercise — heavy exercise can cause water retention; walking, T-Tapp, Yoga and Pilates are good lighter exercises. Weight Training, Cycling; or Running may be too much while on the 500-calorie hCG diet and cause water retention.
• Make sure you measure your body as well as hitting the scales. If you have stopped losing, the inches may be coming off.
• Use Miracle Noodles to break a hCG diet stall.

Just remember that coconut oil is NOT the same, nor will it work the same as MCT oil! MCT oil takes the molecule of coconut oil and is a medium chain oil that works as a fast burning energy source (so it doesn't store as fat). Diet Doc has found that 2 tablespoons/daily will not count against your daily calorie intake.

Here is where to buy 100% pure MCT oil

So glad I found this forum! I have a couple of ????s. I have been on this for 10 days. I can't say I'm stalled, because I am losing, but only about 1/2 lb a day, sometimes no loss. I am staying true to the diet, measuring my food, eating on protocol as far as I know, so I need to do some sleuthing. How much coconut oil can you use per day for cooking? I also found this coconut amino stuff that is soy free that you can use to cook with. Has anyone used this or heard of it and if so, is it okay to use? Do the apples have to be green? I have been using only green apples, as it is said to, but I would much rather eat red. I saw a suggestion somewhere that if your loss is slow, try eating the same vegetable all day. But this is in direct contradiction to Dr Simeons protocol which says the meals should not be the same in any given day. As far as personal care, I'm in my 50's, and really can't go without skincare! My skin is very dry. I especially need stuff on my face! Any suggestions? Sorry so many questions, but they've been adding up and the person that was supposed to be helping me hasn't been answering my emails! TY so much!

.5 is average so you are fine and a stall is 4 days of no fat or inch lose. Coconut oil 1 tablespoon daily.  Never heard of coconut amino stuff.  Use organic coconut oil ONLY. Green Red Yellow whatever apples you like.  Never heard of eating the same veggie all day for a slow loss.  For hCG Diet Beauty Products

Who is helping you?

This is my second week on the HCG and last week I stalled for three days within doing the right things for the diet. I increased my intake of water and on Sunday I had lost two pounds; woke up today and it seemed to be that I am back at the same weight as I was two days ago. WTH?? I don't understand.

Weight does fluctuate that quickly.  The good thing is it's water weight so it will come off quickly.  Are you keeping a food journal?  IF so that's good, watch what you are eating and seasonings, too much salt??, drink some hCG diet teas.

I've been stalled for 4 days. Last week I did "apple day" on Thursday, lost two pounds for Friday weigh in, gained a 1/2 pound by Saturday morning and have been holding at the same weight since then. I'm still in my 6 weeks of phase 2. Can I try this steak day to try to break through this stall. And if so, how many ounces to buy raw?
I cheated this weekend, and it was not a planned cheat (meaning, I took the hcg). I have not eaten anything yet today (1:30 now). Should I make this a steak day, or should I just go back to the normal hcg diet plan?
Hi hope you can help.. I've been on the HCG drops for 24 days now and in a stall for 7 days straight! I did an apple day yesterday with no weight loss at all :( I've never cheated on the diet, I don't eat the starch items and sometimes miss one vege item. Is that the problem? Or could it be because my period is due in 2 days? I'm unemployed so very inactive at home.. I'm very frustrated because I've only been losing about 0.5 pounds a day while my mother lost much more and never stalled. Please help.. I don't know if I should stay on the drops and wait it out or go into the maintenance phase?
Does the bio app patch work as well as the drops or pellets?????? My memory isn't the best and I don't always remember the drops.
I only have my pregnancy weight to lose which is about 16lbs. I have been on the diet for nearly 2 weeks and have only lost 8lbs including the weight gained on my load days which was only 1.5lbs. Is the weight loss alot slower because I don't have much to lose?
