hCG Diet Protocol Cheat

Well, these last few days, trying to lose weight on the hCG diet protocol may have been difficult. THANK YOU, Thanksgiving Weekend.

You have turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, string beans, peas, rolls, red velvet cake, coconut cake, pumpkin pie, apple pie, sweet potato pie, ice cream, whip cream, deviled eggs, roasted chicken, prime ribs, lamb, and on and on and on.

Not exactly hCG diet friendly food. Not many of these foods would be on the hCG diet protocol, and few of these foods will help hCG weight loss. BUT family and friends were around, and you were tempted and you ate…and then went back for seconds. Then Friday and Saturday came and well, you did bring a plate home with you, so you ate and ate some more.

Now it’s Sunday and cold reality sets in, you jump on the scale and guilt joins the bandwagon. So how do you brush off this monstrous hCG diet cheat?

FIRST

DO NOT beat yourself up! That is the worst thing you can ever do. Accept whatever the gain is, accept the fact you ate and move on. Get over your hCG diet cheat real quick! Dwelling on cheats hurt your overall mood, focus and determination.
You maybe even tempted to just ditch the entire hCG diet protocol because you feel utterly bad about cheating. Don’t! hCG weight loss is still possible and you can do it!

SECOND

DO some extra exercise. Exercise can release the stress you feel about cheating. T-Tapp has some great moves, specifically the Hoe Downs, to help neutralize a cheat. This simple move will make you sweat! Try the video below for the Hoe Down move. It truly is a carb buster!
Walk three times a day instead of one, adding an extra ten minutes to your walk. Exercise on the hCG diet protocol is good for you overall.  Just don’t over do it, and drink extra water.

THIRD

ADD some extra water to your hCG diet protocol. Water will help you release additional water. Any gains you had on your hCG diet cheat is water weight, and the fastest way to move water weight is by increasing protein, decreasing carbs and increasing water.

FOURTH

GET STRICT with yourself. Get back to the basics of the hCG diet protocol, weigh your foods, eat only hCG diet foods.

FIFTH

STEAK DAY or APPLE DAY

Try one of the hCG diet stall ‘tricks’ to counteract the hCG diet cheat.
hCG Diet Apple Day is a plateau buster and can be found in the Pounds and Inches Manuscript for complete details. Basically, you eat 6 apples all day, drink water and nothing else.
hCG Diet Steak Day, is really done on maintenance, but it can also get you back to basics, bust a plateau, and even counter a cheat on the hCG diet protocol. For details, go to the Pounds and Inches manuscript. But the basic principle is to eat nothing all day until the evening meal, and then eat a nice juicy steak, grilled and 1 apple.

Final Thoughts

Doing a combination of Hoe Downs from T-Tapp, a Steak Day or an Apple Day, and increasing water intake for a day or two should put any cheat behind you quickly and get you back to hCG weight loss in short order. Or you can use Miracle Noodles to counter an hCG diet cheat, or break a hCG diet stall.

I wanted to contribute because i had been VERY concerned about cheating. i am onmy second round and hadn't cheated once on hcg until yesterday. For christmas i decided to do an intentional cheat day and ate as much fatty foods as i wanted, but NO SUGAR AND NO STARCH. today when I weighed in I was up 1.6 pounds. I know for most that would be a terrible gain but thats about how much I lose in 2 days on hcg so I really didn't think my gain was that bad for as much cheating as i did. I think not eating sugar or starch helped to control the gain, while still letting me have a nice noodle free lasagna for xmas dinner. I don't do it again, but for the sole exception of christmas it was worth it for me. hope this helps!
I took only 1 fork size of a cake will that in any way impare my weight loss. No more No less just the one fork.
@ghbh, Honestly, I can't say. Everyone is different. It may then again it may not. One reason not to cheat is it leads to bigger cheats and if you have a sweet tooth a little cheat can trigger a desire for more sweets. But I doubt a fork size will hurt.
i just started ,on day 3 of vlcd, i have lost 9.4 pounds i have stepped up my caloric intake to 750 cals same protocal + 6 bread sticks and an extra half an apple i am doing 200ius sub q any thoughts would help, thanks
@ Tony: Yes your lose will slow as that is not the diet for the fast weight loss on hCG and those extra bread sticks, carbs, will cause a stall or you may start gaining. HTH
I cheat a lot on the HCG. I did a 40 day and didn't lose a lot but I did lose a lot of inches off my body and went down almost 2 pants sizes.I'm on the 26 day and I will prob do another 20 day I am not for sure though. When I am stressed I normally don't care a lot about dieting so I eat what ever I feel that is comforting to me and that is sweets. They make me feel happy but once I'm done cheating, I feel guilty. Starting tomorrow, stricked stricked stricked!!! I'm going to stay stricked on myself. The only day next I will cheat is Thanksgiving if I want to. I have noticed doing a little work out is good if you cheat after words later on in the day. I cheated all this weekened but not a whole lot. I did dance work outs for a long time through out the weekened and I didn't gain a pound!!! Even though that works when you cheat, I still am going to stick with it. I want to look more thin and when I look at the pictures of myself and other small women, I feel so beat down but at the same time I know I can do it and I know I can work myself to where I can lose the pounds but some days I just don't care and cheat because knowing how much stress and anger I have built up. I feel that maybe if I do a light work out everyday, it will help me out and not cheat at all etc.
@ Tierney: You need to deal with your stress and anger as having the weight only hurts you, your health, your self esteem and outlook on life. Have you tried anything to deal with your stress and anger? Once you deal with this issue and your sweet cravings for comfort, you may find that your pattern of behavior was self destructive and a self imposed punishment. EFT is something you can do on your own or find a practitioner, a therapist who deals with emotional eating issues would be another good way to go. HTH

I’ve found that increasing the amount of exercise each day and watching what you eat greatly increases your fat burning efforts….
I really appreciate you posting this information. I am at the en of my 40 day cycle and I am burnt out. Of course christmas came and I could not take it anymore. I cheated and now I am beating myself over the head. I have lost 20lbs that I do not want back. I weghed myself to find out that I only gained 1lb, however I didn’t know how this would impact my plan. I am going to eat the 6 apples tomorrow and drink plenty of water. I have 11 days left and I need the last days to be the best. Wish me luck!
