hCG Diet Protocol Cheat

Well, these last few days, trying to lose weight on the hCG diet protocol may have been difficult. THANK YOU, Thanksgiving Weekend.

You have turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, string beans, peas, rolls, red velvet cake, coconut cake, pumpkin pie, apple pie, sweet potato pie, ice cream, whip cream, deviled eggs, roasted chicken, prime ribs, lamb, and on and on and on.

Not exactly hCG diet friendly food. Not many of these foods would be on the hCG diet protocol, and few of these foods will help hCG weight loss. BUT family and friends were around, and you were tempted and you ate…and then went back for seconds. Then Friday and Saturday came and well, you did bring a plate home with you, so you ate and ate some more.

Now it’s Sunday and cold reality sets in, you jump on the scale and guilt joins the bandwagon. So how do you brush off this monstrous hCG diet cheat?


DO NOT beat yourself up! That is the worst thing you can ever do. Accept whatever the gain is, accept the fact you ate and move on. Get over your hCG diet cheat real quick! Dwelling on cheats hurt your overall mood, focus and determination.
You maybe even tempted to just ditch the entire hCG diet protocol because you feel utterly bad about cheating. Don’t! hCG weight loss is still possible and you can do it!

Walk three times a day instead of one, adding an extra ten minutes to your walk. Exercise on the hCG diet protocol is good for you overall.  Just don’t over do it, and drink extra water.


ADD some extra water to your hCG diet protocol. Water will help you release additional water. Any gains you had on your hCG diet cheat is water weight, and the fastest way to move water weight is by increasing protein, decreasing carbs and increasing water.


GET STRICT with yourself. Get back to the basics of the hCG diet protocol, weigh your foods, eat only hCG diet foods.



Try one of the hCG diet stall ‘tricks’ to counteract the hCG diet cheat.

hCG Diet Steak Day, is really done on maintenance, but it can also get you back to basics, bust a plateau, and even counter a cheat on the hCG diet protocol. Final Thoughts

Doing a combination of Hoe Downs from T-Tapp, a Steak Day or an Apple Day, and increasing water intake for a day or two should put any cheat behind you quickly and get you back to hCG weight loss in short order. i am on day 4 of the 500 cal diet, and i caved and had a few bites of my kids mac and cheese, will it show on the scale in the morning??
@aleda, It will take you out of ketosis for a couple of days, but just keep going. Have you considered doing the higher calorie level with the protein shakes and mct oil Diet Doc has? It would help with those cravings.
I have a bad weekend and ate a LOT of junk. Today my scale shows an 8 pound gain!!! Did I really gain 8 pounds of fat back in 2 days!? Or is this all or mostly water!? My monthly visitor showed up last night as well. Show I do two days of apples or just back to protocol? I'm nearing the end of my 40 day prescription drops and I had no idea I was supposed to be taking any days off of the. Is that going to be a problem if I want to do another round to get the last 10 pounds off?...

Okay, first of all take a deep breath and don't panic. Nothing is irreversible except giving up. Let's break it down, you have a couple of things working against you here. Your monthly cycle came and I assume you usually have some weight gain with that. Remember its just water and will come back off, if your cheating had anything to with with salt, you have probably compounded that water retention.

Now, I will say hCG works both ways in pregnant woman, it helps break down the fat when a baby is not getting enough nutrition, that's how it aids in weight loss, but it also does the opposite when extra fuel is introduced. It will store some of it. SO, realistically you you have a little of both fat and water. Don't panic. It won't take long to fall right back off. I promise. Remember you are human and going to have days where you don't make the best choice for your nutritional needs. SO, you bounce right back and pick up where you left off, because you know how to do it now.

How to fix it...Number one...drink all your water today, tomorrow and the next day. That will help with the bloating. If you want to do one apple day, go for it. I am not a big fan, but some people swear by it.  Don't do it two days in a row. Your body needs protein. It is the building blocks for muscle and all else that goes on in your body. Remember muscle burns fat and boosts your Metabolism. No shorting your body what it needs. Plus, if your body goes into starvation mode, you won't lose anything regardless and all that work will be for naught. Instead get right back on track. Maybe take an extra walk for the next few days to burn a extra pound. I bet by the time your cycle is over you feel great about your progress. And you will see, you can get through the little hiccups and move on.

I am on day number 25 and have lost a total of 26.7 lbs. on phase 1. I am starting phase 2 now. For the past 4 days i have stayed within a pound and not having any drops. I am trying to stay with the diet but finding it tough due to traveling for work at the moment. What can i do to make the weight start dropping again? How long do i go before i start Phase 1 again?

Phase 1 is the loading phase (where you eat unlimited food for two days).

Phase 2 is the low calorie diet

Phase 3 is maintenance where you add back carbs and sugar slowly for two weeks and then eat an appropriate amount of calories for your age/gender and height. 

Add the drops back and start eating the low calorie food items you know you can have. A mini break sometimes is helpful and 4 days is plenty of time. You don't have to wait 20 days between round.

So I started no hormone drops sat 4/21 so I'm gorging untill till the next day 4/22 then Monday 4/2r I started the 500 calorie diet w Drops I want to lose. 50 lbs I'm currently 204 my staring weight was 210 and its been 3days so do I count 20 days from when I starte Drops and gorging or when I started the 500 cal diet so in a nut shell I want to lose 50lbs and want to know if I keep doing the drops Or do I stop after 20 days gorge for 2 days then back on 500 diet I'm confused and pleaase

You started drops that contain 0 hCG so there is little I can do to help as you are NOT on the hCG diet.  Don't know if you realize this or not, but when you do the diet without hCG you are putting your body in starvation mode losing lean muscle and bone and messing up your metabolism.  Real hCG Benefits How to Test hCG and Best hCG.  You really need to read and understand what you are doing to yourself by not using a product that contains hCG.

I started the hcg load day march 25/26 with 211 pounds. Yesterday April 1st I have 204 pounds and today April 2 I have 206 pounds. Need help please.
