hCG Diet Food

The second most asked question about the hCG diet protocol is, “What food can I eat on the hCG diet?”

We’ve broken down a list of allowed foods for the hCG diet. If you are ever in doubt, refer back to Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches, or this list hCG diet food as a reminder.

You can use a variety of seasonings to spice up your foods, when cooking.  Just read labels and avoid spices and seasoning with added sugar, fat and MSG.  And you can purchase an hCG diet cookbook from the hCG Diet Store to prevent yourself from getting into a cooking rut.

A cooking rut or boredom can be a reason for diet failure.

There are a few hCG diet recipes on this site, as well as an hCG diet menu to get you started.

And don't forget hCG Diet Phase 1 Foods and hCG Diet Phase 3 Foods.  Both food lists will help your hCG Diet Journey.

IF A Food Is NOT On The List DO NOT EAT IT.

@Shannon ,

Normally, you would be told no, everyone is different. I would recommend sugar free gum only. The amount of artificial sweeteners is small.

getting ready to start...can I eat eggs on this diet? I don't like fish so the protein choices are lacking for me.
@Jenny,

You can eat egg whites. Eggs are 200 calories each, so not a whole egg.

@Jenny,

Egg whites, no Yokes. Some other choices are chicken breast, turkey breast, lean red meat from time to time.

At the website we also have a protien shake designed to help keep your blood sugar stable as well as add a bit of protien to your diet.

I have a thryoid problem, Hypo thryoid, Graves Disease. Is the HCG diet safe to do with a thryoid disorder?
@Kim,

Kim-

Medical questions like that are hard to answer without more detail. There are so many variables. I always recommend giving us a call and setting up an appointment to speak with our doctors so that can get all the details of your treatment and make a medically sound decision. 877-424-2912

@kriss,

Tea is great on the diet, but remember to get in your electrolytes in your water as well. Also, watch out for artificial sweetners, which you want to stay away from.
