The Truth About Homeopathic hCG & Legally Buying hCG.

In the US, if you need a prescription for hCG you will need a prescription for homeopathic hCG.  hCG is not a OTC (Over The Counter) medication and requires a prescription from a doctor.  The only way to legally buy hCG drops or ampules in the US importing from an online pharmacy as we have, if you do not have a prescription.  You can legally import up to a 3 month supply for personal use only per the FDA.

Dieters wanting to follow the hCG Diet Protocol are confusing true Pharmaceutical hCG hormone (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) and “Homeopathic HCG Drops”.  The differences between the two are night and day.  And the FDA, FTC and HPUS have deemed homeopathic hCG a fraudulent product as it contains 0 hCG and does not meet homeopathic guidelines.  Currenlty homeopathic hCG is being pulled from the market.

Homeopathic HCG has been shown to contain 0 amount of the hCG hormone with a majority of ingredients to include vitamins, water, herbal stimulants, appetite suppressants and even alcohol, which degrades and kills hCG!

Per the FDA and HPUS you cannot buy a homeopathic formula that contains a prescription medication without a prescription. What consumers are buying is NOT hCG as prescribed and outlined by Dr. Simeons in his manuscript or the updates to the hCG diet as in The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You To Know About by Kevin Trudeau.

Homeopathic Medicine Per the FDA:

6. Extemporaneously Compounded OTC Products: Those homeopathic drug products which are often prepared by dilution to many variations of potency from stock preparations, and which: (1) have at least one OTC indication; (2) are prepared pursuant to consumers’ oral or written requests; and (3) are not generally sold from retail shelves. Those products which are prescription drugs only cannot be provided to consumers as extemporaneously compounded OTC products but, may only be prepared pursuant to a prescription order.

In Summary

The hCG Diet Protocol MUST contain real hormones for the purpose of weight loss with a minimum of 125 IU (international units) of pharmaceutical hCG hormone delivered daily.  The hCG Diet Protocol is based on Dr. Simeons's research that the hCG triggers your body to release your stored fat and will deliver the nutrition your body needs to supplement the very low calorie diet (VLCD) that works in conjunction with hCG diet.

Since “homeopathic hCG drops” do not contain the necessary amounts of hCG hormone, the body will use lean muscle tissue instead of using your stored fat reserves for energy. This effect will cause your metabolism to slow down, along with feelings of hunger, weakness and fatigue and muscle loss vs. fat loss.

It is for these reasons that hCG Diet Journey only offers you with real oral hCG drops or hCG ampules to those wanting to do the hCG diet.

Starting The hCG Diet

What is hCG?

hCG stands for, Human Chorionic Gonadotripin, which is a glycoprotein hormone produced during pregnancy.  hCG can be found in the urine of pregnant women.  hCG can be made synthetically or extracted from the urine of pregnant women then processed for human use.  Typically, on the hCG diet protocol you will be prescribed synthetic, prescription aka pharmaceutical, grade hCG for use on the diet.  hCG Body Shaper Drops supplies real hCG drops that are pharmaceutical aka prescription grade not homeopathic.

Where can I buy Real hCG Drops or other supplies?

You can buy hCG and many other hCG diet needs including hCG diet foods, cookbooks and more at the hCG online store.  The hCG online store will be updated often so bookmark the site and check back to see what’s been added and new recommendations for your overall health and well-being.

How does the hCG diet protocol work?

The hCG diet protocol works by telling the hypothalamus to release your stored body fat.  A small amount of hCG hormone can cause your stored body fat to be released through the kidneys.  And the hcg diet is effective in both males and females.

The calories you eat on the hCG diet protocol are low; typically 500 calories a day.  The hCG diet plan is restrictive to prevent the fat cells from storing new fat in the adipose tissues while you are actively on the hCG diet protocol's various treatments or phases whether you are using the Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches hCG diet protocol or Kevin Trudeau’s The Weight Loss Cure hCG diet plan.

Or if you want to go to a clinic, you can find one in your area by doing a custom search for hCG diet clinics.

The hCG diet protocol can reset your metabolism and protects your essential fat (fat between your organs and needed body fat) and muscle tissue while restricting your caloric intake.

How much hCG should I take?

Dr. Simones suggests a dosage between 125-175 iu’s.  Kevin Trudeau recommends 175-200 iu’s.  You may have to play with your dosage to see what dosage works for you to help ease hCG diet hunger.

Will I be hungry on the hCG diet protocol?

No.  Typically you won’t be hungry on the hCG diet protocol because the stored fat will be releasing its energy, stored calories, and helping to fuel  your body while you are doing your daily activities.

Remember there are 3 primary sources of fuel for the body: Protein, Carbohydrates and Fats.  When it can, your body will use Carbohydrates 1st, then Protein 2nd and Fat 3rd.  By restricting your intake of carbohydrates and fats while on the hCG diet protocol,  you are forcing your body to use its stored Fat, from your fat cells, first for energy.  While on the hCG diet protocol this adipose tissue, body fat, will be released by the hCG hormone  into your blood stream to fuel your body while the excess is excreted as waste.

Will I have a headache while on the hCG diet protocol?

Some people may experience headaches in the first few days of the hCG diet protocol as your body becomes adjusted to how it is getting the energy it needs to operate by using your body’s body fat for fuel vs. carbohydrates.  Some people do not have headaches and some do the first few days on the hCG diet protocol.  Everyone has a different experience on the hCG diet protocol, but a headache is normal and will go away in a day or two.
The hcg headache should be looked at as a sign of beginning the hCG diet protocol and at this delicate time you may be overwhelmed and tempted to just gorge on whatever is near.  DON’T.  It will go away you are just extra sensitive to the switch that has taken place in your body.  See our hCG Diet Gorge Days post.  This may help you avoid headaches on your hCG diet plan.
You can simply drink extra water (as some headaches are related to dehydration), and take what you would usually take for a headache and it will pass.  You can read a tale of hCG diet headache woe and read how to adjust, causes and other hCG diet headache information.

Will taking hCG while on the hCG diet protocol cause side effects?

hCG is a natural hormone.  Pregnant women produce upwards of 200,000 IU a day, to stimulate ovulation and men are sometimes prescribed hCG to increase sperm where the recommended treatment dosage is 5,000 to 10,000 IU.  The hCG diet protocol recommends 125 IU to 200 IU per day while actively on protocol.

Some hCG side effects and contraindications have been published in certain people with preexisting medical conditions while they are on high dosages.  These conditions are outlined with every insert provided with the hCG hormone.  However, in healthy individuals there have not been any hCG side effects while on the hCG diet protocol.

In some women, being on the hCG diet protocol and taking hCG, may cause delayed or early menstrual cycle, heavier flow, lighter flow and or heavy cramping.  Your mileage may vary (YMMV).

How much weight can I lose on the hCG diet protocol?

The average weight loss while on the hCG diet protocol is anywhere between 1/2 pound to 3 pounds a day. But your YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) as no one loses the same amount and men tend to lose faster than women on most diets, even the hCG diet protocol.  Some people seem to lose faster by following Kevin Trudeau’s hCG diet protocol additions.

Will I gain all my weight back after the hCG diet protocol?

YES.  If you go back to old habits like eating junk food, over eating, not watching what you eat, eating unhealthy foods, leading a sedentary lifestyle and in general just thinking “I’ve lost weight so I can eat now,” then you will gain back weight no matter what diet you decided on, even the hCG diet protocol.  That’s a fact.  Obesity is a disease and it’s not about what diet you treat the disease with, it is about how you treat the disease long term to really be cured.
Consider the hCG diet protocol as a giant step toward a healthier you, resting your metabolism, cleansing your body of impurities and gaining control over the disease process caused by junk and processed food, inactivity and an unhealthy lifestyle.  For Phase 3 hCG diet tips read the blog post to understand how to go about finding what to eat after the hCG diet.

What can I eat on the hCG Diet Plan?

There is a list of hCG diet foods to eat that are best for the hCG diet and a few hCG diet recipes I’ve put together for you to get yourself started.  Also, for a list of hCG diet foods and hCG diet recipes you can venture to these links.

How do I mix the hCG ampules?

Mixing hCG is not very difficult and there are good instructions to learn to mix hCG.  If you prefer oral hCG drops, there is a site you can purchase REAL hCG from that we have found.  The real oral hCG drops are potent and just as effective.

How do I know my hCG is working?

hCG must be refrigerated and lasts for up to 40 days.  The older it gets the less potent it is.  The best way to tell if yours is still working is by doing an hCG test.  Just follow the directions that come with your hCG test strip.

Miracle Noodles
While on this diet, can i take the hCG drops and drink the Psylliun Husk the at the same time?
@Cassie,

Yes it's fiber.  A better fiber souce is Miracle Noodles.

Ok, I am about to start the HCG diet tomorrow. Just got the drops today. I have a question concerning alcohol. I've read some reviews where is says occasionally you can have vodka with water and lemon. My questions is, can you drink more and now excerise. Will these balance eachother out? Thank you.
@Mike,

Out of all the alcohol to have Vokda is best however it is a carb.  During Phase 1 -3 I would avoid it.  Exercise is limited to light as in walking.

I have completed all three phases of the diet now for approximately six weeks. I have a particular situation I need information on and have tried to search for answers to no avail. Your web site is the BEST their is and if anyone can give me a REAL ANSWER I feel it would be you! I have an "unreal sensativity" to salt for some reason. It's just crazy. I've never been one to be big on salt any way so I've always been very moderate with it. Less is best, you know? I noticed this some on the phase two and the phase three. Now I'm still pleagued with it! I still have my goal of drinking a half-gallon of water daily, yet I cannot tell you the times while on the diet I'd have to do a "steak day" due to what I knew was nothing more than retaining fluid! The same is still true now! At night you could and still can see it at my ankles, feet and legs and where my socks make indentions on my legs. Almost every single night I'm propping my legs up to work the fluid back to where ever it needs to go and pray that by morning it's all gone and my weight is not up so it's not another "steak day!" My current diet is still pretty much the phase three, meats, fruits and vegs. No carbs, starches, sugars (maybe a scant somewhere..) except whatever is in what I just mentioned. Occasional greek yogurt, or cheese but quite sparingly !Please help me figure out what I need to do to correct this. Steak days are the only thing I know to do to correct it however, within a week or less it's the fluid again. I've worked so hard to do everything right to loose the weight and trying now to maintain it....hopefully for ever! Thank you in advance for your assistance! God bless you guys!!
@Lori,

Well thanks for the compliments on our site.  We try and provide good information about the hCG diet.

This may not be what you want to hear but this is more of a medical question which is probably why you have not seen any answers when searching.  Have you spoke to your doctor?

Have you thought about your lymphatic system?  Thy lymphatic system can appear to be regular fluid retention but in fact it's lymph fluid build up that isn't returning back into your system.  There are only 2 ways to help the lymphatic system to drain and return as unlike your circulatory system it has no pumping action.  Walking and Dry Skin Brushing.  Walking pumps the lymph back and Dry Skin Brushing drains the lymph fluid that has built up.

Dry Skin Brushing has some healthful benefits like muscle toning as well and lymph draining.  Some info on it will tell you to do 10 or 20 strokes, I find 30 to 60 work best for results and a good stiff brush mitt.  HorseHair mitt is best.  30-60 strokes all over takes about 15-20 min a day, and walking regular daily takes about 20-30 min a day.

I'm not saying this is your issue, but it maybe something to think about and try. And search for lymphatic drainage and retention to see your symptoms could be that.

@Dez, Thank you so much for the information and for your prompt response! I'm immediately going to search this out. Thanks again for the information!!
I have been doing the HCG for a week now, but I am being challanged with the vegetables. Can you eat canned vegs? If so what kind? If not what can you do?
@Sheila,

Fresh is best.  Canned contains sodium which can cause water retention.

I was reading and on the website it says not to swollow the drops (they wont work) and the other directions say it doesnt matter. What should I do?
